We are excited to announce the new Facebook custom audiences feature that will enable online retailers to use their Datacrushers shopper analytics to create highly effective and personalized Facebook ads.
To use the Facebook custom audiences campaigns, you must first create and save a new segment of shoppers from the “Shopper analytics” section of the dashboard. Once you’ve created, named and saved the segment, select the “Custom Facebook Audience” option from the “Action” section, or simply select the “Custom Facebook Audience” option found under the “Crushers” category at the top of the dashboard.
Once you’ve selected the “Custom Facebook Audience”, you will be directed to the page below to connect the newly created segment into your Facebook ads account. If you’ve arrived at this page from the “Action” section in “Shopper analytics”, the segment in step 4 (below) will have already been pre-populated with the segment you selected in the previous step.
The first step to connecting your newly created segment to your Facebook ads account is to select the segment that you’ve saved for the custom audience Facebook ad.
Note! You must have an active Facebook ads account to use this feature.
Click the blue “Facebook Ads Account” button (above) and you will now be logged into your Facebook account.
Step 3 will then prompt you to select an appropriate ad account from the “Select an account” pull-down.
After connecting your ad account, you will be prompted to create a new custom group. Simply enter the new name and description of the group and then click “Create new Audience” and you’re set!
The data has been automagically sent to Facebook and you should expect to receive both an email and notification from/on Facebook once the process has been completed.
